Post What Amp?????

What brand of amp whould you go for if you wanted a clean sounding one. I plan to hook up 1 10" Diamond Audio M5, from what I understand these subs are more clean than hard hitting

I disagree. I think PPI used to be the best amps on the market a few years back but now the quality on them and the performance is no where up to where they used to be. IMO the amps that had the silk screen design on them were great amps...in fact awesome amps! Now though PPI is good but not great.

Some amps I love are the Macintosh line, the new JL audio amps, MMATS (for subs only) and Phoenix Gold Ti series.

What it comes down to though is all personal preference. I know a tons of people that swear that Xtants are the greatest amps ever made, I disagree because I dont like the quality and or the performance. But thats just my opinion.

Go with what you like and what your budget allows.

I heard the new JL audio amps suck? Even the sales rep in my area wasn't impressed ?

like stylin' silver said.. it all comes down to opinion.. there are lots of amps out there that are pretty good...
like PPI, Xtant, soundstream, and Phoenix Gold
personally i have gone with Kickers and i love them (my whole system is kicker)... no complaints and them system hits really hard .. but then many ppl complain about its price
in the future i'd personally go with more Kicker or Zapco!
