I've got a Clifford Matrix and it works perfectly. I've got the perimeter sensor for the outside and a motion sensor on the inside. Never falses either, which is something I was really worried about when buying an alarm, so I am very happy with it.

The new Viper 790 looks nice ...

I don't think Alpine offers anything with that many features.

I believe StreetEffectz perfers Viper over Clifford/Avital. Not sure what he thinks of Alpine. Do some searches on the forum.

Find a local shop, don't go to BestBuy or CircuitCity. Ask around the service department of your Acura Dealership, see who they recommend.

I have a Viper 550ESP with remote start. It the 3rd one I have had. No problems. Does it's job. I have heard compustar is really good. but they are expensive, & can only be installed, & bought by a dealer. The next car alarm I get I'm going to try it.

yea alot of people say get the viper..because the alpine has problems ..but what kind of problems can an alarm have.i had an viper 550 in my integra but it was always set off because of the proximity sensor.every time a bird flew by it went off..that Sh&t was annyoing...Plus the alpine will come up on my tv screen

both are probably pretty good, but dei makes this their business and they offer much more technology/accessories than alpine. but i do agree it's very trick getting your system to work with your alarm but does alpine even offer these items anymore and are they compatible with the newer models? you might be out of luck... of course you can add sensors from other makers to the alpine but you can only go so far, and you will probably pay more for less features.
