on my car when i had to install the amp to the factory bose system they had to bypass the bose and need new speakers. they said bose were 2ohm speakers and the aftermarket amp don't work with bose.

I replaced my factory bose cd player with a clarion and then hooked up my amp and sub. i suggest that you do this because i personally like my new cd player much better. I heard i might have a lot of troble doing this, but i had no trouble at all. i got the cd player hooked up and working fine, without bypassing anything or replacing any speakers, and then hooked the amp up with out any trouble. i am not sure what year your car is but i have a 97. hope this helps!
