Question Valentine 1 installation

I can't seem to stay at the speed limit in my 2003 Type S, Navi. A friend has recommended a Valentine 1 radar detector. Does anyone have any advice or installation tips for the remote install of these units? Any other comments related to the V1 would also be helpful.

Thanks

I would suggest the escort passport 8500. I have one...it's THE BEST out there...and it's not huge and clunky like the valentine 1. If you are interested in buying a passport, I have a few new ones...in boxes....w/ warrenty so forth. pm me.

Both the 8500 and the V1 are excellent detectors, however I have used the V1's since the came out, and would have no other. I have the unit on the windshield and the remote as shown. This works out fine. In all actuality, the damn thing will work if you just leave it on the passangers seat!!

I mounted my V1 remote with some velcro tape right between the seat heater switches under the coin box on the sloped part. Ran the wire through the gap that the pull out cover to the computer port creates in the back and up to the detector, which I have mounted on the passenger visor. No wires whatsoever.
