I need help. I was upgrading my single disc to a six disc that I bought (OEM). The person claimed the 6 disc came out of a 2 nd gen tl. The six disc fits in the dashboard but, my single disc has a 12 volt power connection and the six disc doesn't. Anyone have any ideas if there is some kind of connector or adaptor I need to do the conversion? The single disc was manufactured in 2000 and the six disc was manufactured in 2001. I am going to try and post pictures.

The first picture is the rear of the single disc (Note the connection in the top left) the second is of the six disc (Note no connection)

First of all, all car stereos have a 12V connection, so not sure what you mean there.

Here's what i think you need:

1) The scan of thte Helm manual for the 2001 that this came out of. You need the wire pin ID's.

2) You need connectors that fit the back. I don't know off any off-the-shelf adapters for this radio. First off, see i these match any off the shelf honda plugs (you may not have enough wires in the plug, you may need to buy two and asssemble one using pins ffrom the other). Coount the pin locations and see how many here are. Maybe you can get one from autotoys or crutchfield or something (installer.com is stupid, but might have it.) If not, wrecking yard.

I'm starting to think the 6 disc is out of a CL. Anyone want to confirm that for me.

The bottom picture is from a CL.. Not a TL, the TL has a 3rd plug to the right..

 

hey integra, if that 6 disc doesn't fit, I'll buy it off you. I'm selling my car and need to get it back to stock... need to find the stereo parts ASAP.

ok. I just checked ot a 6 disc from a TL on ebay. The back is the same as the one I purchased. (Doesn't have the third connector). Has anyone upgraded from the stock single disc to the stock 6 disc and can give me some advise?
