TL install pics - behind the scenes to the finished product :)

This is a TL we just finished for a board member - Soundstream Van Gogh amps, a single 12" Resonant Engineering sub (not installed yet, waiting for it to come in), CDT components in front doors, CDT coax rear doors, Kenwood 7015 double din headunit, edead all doors, trunk, trunk lid, deck, etc etc. Just wanted to show some "BUILD" pics - ENJOY!

I was waiting for you to post them the comps sound amazing!!! Love the CDT's, not too harsh, crystal clean with alot of mid bass, specially when you dampen the doors.

I fell in love with the install when I saw it, not exactly how I pictured the amp rack, but I'm feelin it.

the box you built looks awesome, with the 2 sleeved ports instead of the one. Let hope it sounds awesome. Just to give everyone a little background, I tried to get my 15" XXX in there with a 4 cuft box I built. It was a no go. Ron did everything to try to get it in but it had clearance issues. So he built me this new box for a 12" with the 2 ports, tuned to 30 hz. I'm sending my 15 back to RE tomorrow and they are doing an even swap for the 12". Should have it in a week or two.

Oh and Ron, if you can, save the manuals to the amps, if you still have the boxes save those too.

Oh and where are my cooling fans

I have a feeling that 1600.2 is gonna get really hot. Definitely need some ventilation down there.

Jordan

Thanks guys, Can't wait for my sub to get in. Plus I got a Alternator being rebuilt at Ohio Generators. That s hit is gonna pound.

Lost the spare, tried to keep it but with the false floor and the huge VGA1600.2, there was no way.

I forget what the black stuff is called, but I believe it's a sealant.

It's RTV silicone adhesive - the spacers get screwed into the doors, and then sealed to the door with this silicone - this ensures an air tight seal so the baffle doesn't leak and makes your midbass even better

If I didn't need to put bodies in the trunk I'd love for that to happen to mine.

EDIT: let me rephrase what i said so that it makes mroe sense.

the amount of e-dead that you have applied in the doors... is that all the e-dead that is used? or did you take pics in the process of applying it and then added more.

Nice finish. Currently in the process interior complete. Trunk is a major headache - any more of a headache and im willing to live without the sub (Alpine) and listen to old man music. Problem is one of trunk space effeciency. Is the dead space behind beside the sub useable space? Any caps in use? And if so where are they located?

The "lip" a the very back behind the seat pushed my sub box out, so I used it to mount a Kaption cap facing inward (so use the fold down and u see the cap) - but then I can't get my hand thru to the unused trunk space on iether side of the sub box.

Any weight issues. Mine sags in rear and its not even completed? Front wheel gap increased as a result. Thinking of Tein SS's to solve this problem.

Sure I could use some of that space but it would be for something that I wouldn't want to put out on display. Like maybe a second battery would fit by the box and the false wall would hide it. There is nothing really else I would use that space for. Or do you mean useable like for cargo space? I'm sure I could hook something up in the false wall that would allow access to that space on either side in the future, if I felt like it

No caps, no need for them. Don't really like them. I have a HO Alternator on the way and a deep cycle battery.

I'm sure once I add my sub it will sag slightly but I already have Teins
