anyone have wiring diagram to share of the 2005 rl for installing a Alarm/remote start?? has anyone had one installed?? thanks

According to DEI's Techsoft it is feasible, but after reading through it all I would strongly suggest finding a highly skilled installer to put it in, because you are going to have to disassemble a fair amount of the car (i.e. all four doors, the dash, etc. . .)

I've been waiting for carmakers to start saving that much copper... now small relays and MUX microprocessors are cheaper than wire (lighter too).

 

basically. The locks are at the DDM, obviously in the Driver's Door. And then as an added bonus each door trigger is located in each door, not to mention the usual goodies of odd ball locations and wires changing colors, or my personal favorite: DEI not being sure what color wires are. . .All on top of the fact that they know it has a immobilizer system but they aren't real sure what bypass to use, although I suspect a 556U will suffice.

 

Just means that they haven't seen one and haven't bought the manual yet.
