Thoughts on these amps (Polk & Memphis)?
Polk Audio C400 ($300)
http://www.polkaudio.com/car/product.php?name=c400_4
vs
Memphis Belle
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/produ...ails.asp?id=28
(Local dealer said $549)
Probably gonna drive Diamond Audio components up front (D361)
12" Diamond Audio D3 Sub (sealed).
Thanks!

Scott P has had good results with Memphis.
Polk is just another speaker company ordering amps from overseas with their name on them... I would expect nothing special, but I've never worked with any At least when JL did it they brought Jeff Scoon over, who started PPI and then xtant.
It looks like the old JBL tunnel amps. Anything wrong with a 300/4?

I had a good deal on a Polk Audio, but that deal is gone.
I found a local installer that actually has both Memphis and Diamond Audio amps so I'd like to get everything from him.
Leaning towards the DA D3400.1 (4x50) or the DA D6600.4 (4x75). Thoughts on those amps.

the polk amps are pretty good. I used to sell them when they first came out and they were nice and clean. Just too big for what you get out of it. That and cost kinda turned me off on them. As for the memphis amp that is a decent price (I can't remember what i sell them for now, but it is close to that). It is aclean amp and i really can't say a negative thing about it. Personally I have been getting hooked on JBL amps lately, those and the PG Xenon series. . . I flipflop on that kinda stuff often though so I'm no real use.

I have that amp in my 2.3 cl powering momo 650 components up front and momo 6x9's in the back (pics of the system to come one of these days). I love it the amp- it screams with no distortion at all (that I can hear after all of the freakin loud cars I have been in). It is a little pricey but, I got a sweet deal on it so that wasn't an issue for me. I haven't really delt much w/ memphis or diamond, but from what I hear they are good as well.
