For Those Interested in my Dash Kit

For those of you who are interested in my dash kit please stop pm'ing me...I'm too lazy to type over the same response over and over again So, here is all the info you'll need to contact my installer...

my custom-made dash kit(cost me a small fortune to have it molded by a plastics guy)

back of dash kit

installing the dash kit

almost done

I paid almost $220 USD because I had to incur some of the cost of labour (my installer had to contract out to a plastics specialist to R&D, blueprint, cast a mold, etc...and whatever else needed to create that kit from scratch).

I'm not too sure on the exact procedure necessary to make the kit, but it is solid plastic. The one you see in my post is the original prototype...which I have in my car. The only drawback is that the colour is a shade off. My installer still has the mold and says that all future ones will most likely have the same, if not, better fit and finish. He can create double or single din applications because he still has the template/mold.

My installer said that he is willing to sell it for around $170 USD. He cannot compete with the price by www.tourc.com of $117 USD, but the product speaks for itself. You can't knock it's superior quality for an extra 50 bucks. Maybe if there is more interest from A-CL.com, he may lower the price a bit.

You can contact him directly. His name is Jamie.

e-mail caralarm@shaw.ca

or

cell (604) 961-8100

Let him know that you're from A-CL.com/A-TL.com and you spoke with Allen(me) about it.

Thinking about getting one of these just so it looks right but have a few questions. How do you have the deck mounted behind? I havent taken my dash apart so i have no idea on whats behind there. My car has Navi and my deck has a second input, is there a way to grab the audio from the navi and route it thru the input on the deck. Then when I need to have directions givin to me I can just switch to the line in?

I have no clue what you're talking about. Us Canadian folk don't get the navi...sorry. Talk to my installer about it. His e-mail and cell # are in the first post.
