WeatherTech

Interested to hear what others think of WeatherTech laser fit mats. And --- do you consider them to be for year-round use or just for the "sloppy" months?

Rear cargo mat fits perfect, use it all year round. Floor mats fit perfect, clean up well, and use only in snowy months. They come in beige if you have the light interior color.

Great job in posting the 12786452368th post about weathertech mats here in the RDX forum.

Weathertech mats are great and the laser cut ones fit well too.

Who are we to tell you what mats to use when?

welcome Dirleton to Acurazine
(and the 1,278th "grumpy-guy" reply from Ceb)

Regarding your question -- I have used weathertech mats in 2 vehicles and consider them top notch products.
Typically, I only use them (weathertech liners) in the winter months.

Welcome! I've used both and I strongly endorse WeatherTech products. I use them year round, the carpet floor mats are in the attic and will go back in when I trade/sell the car.

We use them year-round in both our cars. We are big fans of Weathertechs. The stock RDX mats are extremely flimsy.

These two posts exemplify my comment about "who are we to tell you when to use which mat" - the first poster uses the Weather Tech mats only during the sloppy weather season while 5 Acuras uses them year round. I'm with 5 Acuras and just leave mine in all year.

This has several advantages. Any rain can create a puddle on your carpeted mats that can soak through so I think they are actually useful all year round. Second, I think that having new carpeted mats with the car when you sell it will increase the value of the car. Why? Your pristine ne mats, combined with the thorough cleaning and detailing you give the car, will make the interior look new and will make any wear on the carpet below the mats disappear.

Never took them off unless for cleaning since I got them. with the dirt and grime that can get on to the mats, Im never going back to just regular mats on mine again.

The outboard anchor point is the lowest point of the liner. Water pools there and has a tendency to spill over into the anchor opening and soak the carpet. Something to watch for.

I would go for front, rear, and cargo area mats if you use the "U" in CUV. I even purchase a 6X8 tarp that folds flat under the rear cargo mat for when I need to put the rear seats down and I don't want to get the back of the seats dirty (Home depot runs in spring).

Just have to watch out for pooling water I suppose, Probably an issue with OEM as well. Thanks!

I have a full set in my wife's Highlander, they fit well, she runs them year around although we feel they're a pain to clean, the surface seems to grab and really hold onto dirt. Also have a pair on my regular cab Tacoma, I don't feel they fit well although do protect the carpet and once again I feel they are a pain to clean.
