Switch button for DVD player

Can I use this switch to turn on/off my DVD player in the car, or backup camera?

Or will I need a rocker/toggle type switch that will keep the electrical connection constant when flip to one side? The push button in the link seems to be a momentary, with no clicks to stay in a on/off postion. It will send a one time electrical signal, and go back to the neutral position. Is that enough for a camera to stay on, or a DVD player?

Thanks!

I'm not great with electrical stuff, but I'm 85% sure that switch will not work. You will need a toggle switch that you will run two wires off of.

Well according to the product description, "This SPST push button switch is just the switch your project needs."

I will agree with your assumption, since is mine as well. I have moved on to use a diffrent type of rocker switch. Thanks for the response.
