Stock system hum/buzz

Stock system hum/buzz

Anyone getting alternator hum/buzz in a stock system? I started to notice this about a week ago. It is really anoying and gets ear peircing at high rpms Maybe I can wait till my next oil change to have the dealer take a look at it

If its the stock stereo your factory amp is probably bad. Do you have any aftermarket electronics hardwired into your car at all?

nope, I haven't altered the car except for tint which I know doesnt' matter

99% sure its the factory amp. It was built to supress the normal engine noise but its not doin its job somewhere.

if you have rcas running to the amp for the car, buy a thing called a supressor and that will help, i had this problem with my aftermarket cd player and i added this to my system and it made things aok

Yea I also have run into that in a previous car, but this damn car is stock except for tint

Update: I called the dealer today to schedule an apointment for this problem. The lady started to tell me the service estimate, so I said what the hell do you mean estimate this car is practically new. She said the warrenty doesn't cover everything. I said what doesn't it cover. She said normal wear and tear items. I said the cd player isn't a wear and tear item and even if it was it should last 6-8 months.

After our long conversation she agreed to a no estimate service.

Yep...They will try to jip you out of your warranty rights if you dont stand up for yourself.
