Speakers stopped outputting audio/ head unit still functions
Hey everyone,
This is my first post on the forum so bear with me.
I recently bought a 2003 Acura TL Type-S and I wanted to install my sirius FM direct adapter to my BOSE system. After hours of taking apart my center console and dash board, I was finally able to get the head unit out and install the direct adapter. After installing the adapter, everything was functioning normally, FM radio was working, satellite radio was working, there wasn't any problems. With the radio still on (which wasn't the most brilliant move), I started to screw the headunit back in. I had the 2nd screw just about tightened, when the audio cuts out. The head unit was still on, but no sound from any of the speakers. So I took the unit back out, checked the wiring, unplugged the FM adapter, restarted system and reentered the code, but I can't figure it out.
Could I have blown a fuse in the amp? If so, how do I even get to this fuse? Could I have shorted out something inside the head unit? I checked the amp for the subwoofer in the back, but that didn't help me much. I'm not sure where to go from here. I need HELP!!
