Bump with a question: the soundgate website/application guide says that the HONAUX4 requires the HU to be sat-enabled. Does this mean I can't use it on my '04 non-XM TSX, and will have to dig up an old SNHOND3 instead?

No, you'll be fine with the install. I went ahead and bought the unit wondering the same myself but everything installed fine. You don't need XM for the unit, and it does work if you have navigation. It sounds great, a good purchase.

I recently bought the HONAUX4 but I can't seem to install it. I pulled out the cubby hole below my climate control, but the only harness I see isn't the same size or has the same amount of pins as the HONAUX connector. I am confused... this is the harness that is clearly visible when you remove the storage bin below the climate control on an 04 non-navi? Grey-wrapped wires with a white connector? My connectors are definitely not the same...

Yes the harness you are looking for is behind the cubby hole directly under the climate control. The AUX connector is somewhat hidden. What you need to do is get a flashlight and look up RIGHT at the beginning of the opening, it should be there. If you cant see it, feel around for it.

If you still have problems figuring this out post again with your problems.

having trouble

I'm trying to install this and I'm having issues with the connections.

From what I understand all you have to do is connect the female plug right under the stereo. But, there seems to be a connection problem. It seems like any slight move will disconnect it. Did you guys have the same problem? All I hear is static if I wiggle the plug. Like it's trying to connect but it doesn't completely connect, because I can hear the music but it's VERY faint.

Here's a picture of the female end plugged in:

Does the male plug have to be connected somewhere?

I have 2004 non-nav tsx.
Thanks

Mine seems to be loose as well, but it doesn't seem to have static problems when moved.
