Has anyone installed the soundgate adapter (see below) for videointerface to navi?

Video to Honda and Acura Part # VIDHOND2

SoundGate's VIDHOND2 interface is for adding video to Honda and Acura vehicles with factory Navigation. Even though the vehicle may have a screen, this interface will not work unless factory Navigation is present. Works only with two-piece navigation units. Navigation module cannot be part of the radio. Call SoundGate for vehicle specific applications.


The VIDHOND2 can accept a signal from any video source and route it into the factory Navigation screen. It is important to note that audio is not routed through this device - audio signals must be input into the factory system separately.

Additionally, VIDHOND2 can accept a second video input from a rear-view backup camera.

IMPORTANT! SoundGate's VIDHOND2 is meant to only display video while the car is parked and stationary. The VIDHOND2 is designed with an interlock circuit that shuts off the video signal as soon as the vehicle's emergency brake is released.

I am sure that people have installed this, but not many lately since Doms Nav unit only costs $150. The thing about this one is its plug and play. Doms unit needs to have 4 wires cut and power and ground. To me the $200 savings is well worth installing doms nav unit.
