SOUND QUALITY_ Blitzsafe vs. Tape

Hi All,

I have a question/comment that has received some very 'WTF are you on buddy" type of responses.

My question/comment is, when it comes to sound clarity & loudness, I have found that using my Nano with a 'line-in tape' outperforms the clarity and loudness of my CD player. My 2001 CL-S has the factory bose head unit, stock inside speakers, and 2-12" Orion XTR's juiced by an Orion 225HCCA (amp receives signal from a high-input to rca converter and the audio voltage to the amp is controlled via an alpine pentiometer located under the dash).

The system is very loud and clean, and with the nano-tape combo, the system thumps even louder and clearer then the CD player if you can believe it.

My basic question is, does the blitzsafe sound clear and loud? I mean, the tape allows you to increase the line-in voltage by increasing the volume on the nano anywhere from 0-100%... @ 85% of full volume, and the headunit at 85% of full volume, the system is clear, sharp, and loud. I would like the slickness of the blitzsafe setup, but if it means I will lose DB, I dont want to go that route.

Any audiophiles out there, I would love to hear your feedback...

Raj

The Bose deck tape head might be able to achieve a frequency response range between 20 Hz and 20 kHz, but it will not have a better signal-to-noise ratio than the blitzsafe which is around 100 db (compared to 70 db for tape).

So if you want to redude the background noise, choose blitzsafe.

All that lets you do is oversaturate the tape head.

THe Blitz blows away that tape thingie... but with stock speakers that are 4 years old, how much can you notice?
