running 0 awg wire...pic request

I can't seem to find a way to run 0 awg through the firewall. If anyone has a picture, please post it up. Thanks

Just use a larger drill bit than you would with smaller gauge wire. Also, please give us a little more info to work with.

Oh, sorry. I forgot to add that it's an 02' TLS. I tried the grommet by the driver's side firewall but it won't go through to the interior. I'm kinda thinking drilling is the only other option .

I've always ran 0 guage power and ground in my vehicles. I'm only going to be running about 1300 watts or so in this car but if I was to upgrade to say; 3k watts, then I'd already have the wires laid out. Come on, I'm used to having 4-5k watts on tap.

Your car would not stay running at all if you had more than 1500 real watts pulling from your cars charging system at one time. Your car would shut down the first time the bass hit.

At that point a cap is useless. Multiple batteries and upgraded alternators are your only hope. 1500 watts is your PEAK consumption on most cars. And you'll still be damaging your charging/electrical system with a quickness.

I had about 3600 watts RMS in my Escalade with the stock alt, 0 guage big 3, and yellow top in the back. It seemed to hold up fine for the entire time I had it, and I played it hard all the time too.

0 guage is overkill for sure. But the easiest way I found in my CL was to pop out the wire grommet from the firewall up above the pedals and run through there.

I was sold 10ga wire to run a 400x4 amp and a 200x1 sub amp. This seems wrong now.

What should I be running?
