Question Replacing factory speakers

I want to replace my factory speakers with aftermarkets. But I am worried they won't sound good cause of the factory amp.
So my question is has anyone done this and how does they sound?
Any distortion?
Thanks for the answers in advance.

I would go with a cheap amp off ebay, maybe used for starters and get a decent one after you have a feel for what you are looking for....They won't sound good off the factory amp, trust me! But I have now become sort of a perfectionist, with my car audio...
