With most tranny's, it comes out of the shifter.

I keep leaving my Helms at the shop...who has one?

i usually pull the bulb out for reverse lights, then find the same wire in drivers kick area going back and check it again for reverse light voltage.....takes about 5 min.

I purchased Dom's navi/dvd converter for my TSX which has an extra video input for a rearview camera. So everytime you put the car in reverse the navi screen transitions over to the camera. I figured since it's there, might as well use it.

Two stumbling blocks i'm trying to get over though:

1) Locating the 12v reverse wire in the car that the converter's wires need to splice into. Grounding it was simple.

2) Drilling a perfect sized hole through the metal for the camera to slip snug into next to the license plate frame. Not sure yet what approach to take for this

I have read from vendors on this forum that Icon (spelling?) cameras are really good and preferred. I bought a C-7 night vision color camera with wide angle lens off of ebay. I'm hoping it will be good quality...

I installed the unit in the trunk and would prefer to tap into the 12v reverse wire from inside the trunk. I have a TSX and no voltage meter to test wire voltage. Anyone already know what color the wire is or where it may be located in the trunk area?

In the 8 pin connector going into the navi unit pin # 5 (Green Wire) sees +12v when in reverse. This allows the navi to move backwards when reversing.
