Question about removing fabric from visors. (Streeteffectz?)

I took a close look at how to remove the fabric from my visors (to mount monitors) and it appears that the visor is one large piece of plastic folded in half. I tried sticking a screwdriver in the seam to break it apart, but it seems stiff. I don't want to break anything, so I thought I'd consult you first. Is it possible to separate the visor, or do you just rip the fabric off then tuck it back in the seam when you're done? I appreciate your assitance.

Thank you
-Aaron

He probably just cuts off the fabric because he get them totally recovered with new fabric. Unless you've done this before I wouldn't even bother trying.

I guess I'll just try my own techniques then. Sorry, I didn't mean to ask you to reveal your trade secrets or anything.
