I agree, I think ECLIPSE should be on that list....

here you go ....

JL W7's
ECLIPSE 88120Ti
Image Dynamics IDMAX

there are the top three -- anything else is a waste of your time.... if it were me I would go with the eclipses over the others and then the jl's and then the idmax's

i gotta say JL Audios for the car.. they kicked the best in my opinion... RF would blow alot in my friends cars.. and in my TL the PG is really nice... but eclipse is nice.. but in that list i gotta say JL...

My friend has 2 12" Image Dynamic IDQ's in his car w/a 2000 watt Rockford Fosgate amp, and they bump. But the IDMAX's are a lot better quality and and bump way better than the IDQ's.

I have a Kicker Solobaric L7 and have no complaints..... with the 12" square, it is actually bigger than a 12" round, so it kicks a bit more (that's what they tell me)...

Here is mine and it just sits in the sub box..

OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Jaydef, i went through 3 of the same 760 watt Sony amps in 1 month. 1 smoked in my car and the other 2 just died. I though it was the wiring, but i used another amp and it's been fine ever since. If you are going to get it, spend a little extra dough and get the service plan that will cover you for like 3 years. I bought mine at best buy. They gave me a new one everytime i came back. Trust me man, that amp was hell. I'm running on an 800 watt rockford now and all i can say is oh man. Especially with the remote gain control, its awesome. If yopu dont believe me i can show you the reciepts. Just trust me man dont go Sony for amps. I heard the ES series are a lil better, but for the same amount as those amps you can get something way better.

JayDef, the Sony XPlod Amps are a piece of sh*t. It says a 760 watt output but it only puts out like 400, and I know this b/c my friend tested the amp out at his work (Sound Experience in Schaumburg, Illionois). Like I said again and I will say again, eBay.com is the way too go.

I agree with Kegrun...JL 12 w7's will hand any of the other subs' ass to it. However, why do you care about what order all these guys put the subs in? Most of them have had experience with just one, so they babble about how great it is, or like me are just generally biased or whatnot. You shouldn't use that to help you decide anything.

Hey Austin519,
I see that you have the W7's, have you heard them yet???
The reason I ask is because I am in search of sub(s) myself and I am between Diamond Audio's Mack Daddy, Infinity Perfects, JL w7, Illusion, etc...,
I am in search of SQ - so what would you recommend

I have heard them...I tested them out in my condo already. I can tell you that they're the nicest subs I've heard in a long time...but SQ is all a matter of preference...I suggest you go to stores and listen.

HacGyver and Austion519, If you have heard the new Audiobahn Titaniums...which I don't think you guys have...it POUNDS and will out-do even the IDMAX's. But if you guys are looking for subs that pound but not too much, I guess you guys can go w/whatever you guys want but personally, I would go with the Audiobahn Titaniums. They are a lil' expensive but you can find good prices on eBay, somewhere around like $220 each.

Actually I have heard them. Congratulations, that is your third post explaining how much you like Titaniums. So to compress down your 5 posts...you suggest IDMAX's and Audiobahn Titaniums. I have heard both...and JL w7's beat both in my book. And eBay is definitely a good place to go...but if you buy them used you have no idea how they were used, if they were abused, how they were wired up, what the ambient conditions were etc. That's why I don't mind buying my amps used, because the solid state circuitry in there isn't much affected by all that, assuming they still work properly, but I NEVER buy any speakers on eBay. On top of not knowing anything about what was done to the speakers, you're doubtful to get a warranty....which is a bad combination.

Never heard of the amp, no. As for the sub...it's about $160-$180 online...not sounddomain or Crutchfield or any of the other high priced ones...and the box shouldn't be more than $100. Personally that sounds a bit fishy...I wouldn't do it. I'd definitely just go get it off eBay or something...though if you get the speakers off eBay I suggest you look for new ones...you don't know what's been done to used ones.

I have a friend that just got the new IDMAX's hooked up with his 2000 watt Rockford Fosgate amp and it bumps. But, I just helped my friend hook up his Titaniums w/an Audiobahn double cooled amp it just blows the IDMAX's away. Crzy Acura, I help my friends hook-up their systems or I hook help out at Sound Experience in Schaumburg, Illinois. But XL Audio is a lot better, bigger selection, plus I have a hook-up at XL. :p I'll be at the Chicago meet. I live like 10 min.'s away from Woodfield mall. So look for a 2002 White TL Type-S.
