Unhappy Problems with Bose CD Player, Can anyone help???

I am new to this and I just got a 1999 Acura TL with Navi. I am having trouble playing burnt cd's. FOr example, i would insert one and it would take at least 30 seconds for it to start playing, same thing happens when i change the track, sometimes it doesnt even play then next song.

Does anyone have any idea how this could be fixed, or any alternative.? Any ideas would help alot... Thanks

1. You can try different CD-R media with slower burn speed like 2X or 4X.

2. Get a HU from a 2001 or newer TL or TLS. " Not from a CL or CL-S, they are different!"

3. Put in CD-Changer and let the changer handle the CD-R media.
(This is the way how I get my burn cd to works)

Hope this help.

Or just get an aftermarket double-din headunit or a deck kit+single-din headunit

If i were to get a HU from a newer car, will it be hard installing being that i have the Navigation.? And where can I find one? Also is there a cd changer that works with the factory system?

I believe they are the same head unit between Navi or non Navi just the harness is different. (Someone correct me if I am wrong). You can find one under for sale section on this site or you can find one from E-bay....

For the changer you can get Alpine M-bus 6 disk changer and Blitz safer adapter, it is a Plug and Play installation.

Newbie here...I have a 2001 TL w/o navigation, and have the same problem with burned CD's not starting for at least 30 seconds, then it only plays one track. It does a lot of searching, but still plays only one track. I will try to burn at a slower speed and see if that helps. Really disappointed that a car this expensive won't just play them, when a cheap car with a cheap player has no problems playing burned CD's.

By the way use 640MB disk will do better than 700MB/80mins disk, this topic being discuss before, do a search you should find a lot of different sucessful stories.
