P.I.E. Instead of Blitzsafe?? (Auxiliary Input Converter)

Just wondering if anyone has used THIS Auxiliary Input Converter from P.I.E. instead of THIS one from Blitzsafe.

I tried ordering the Blitzsafe model from Logjam Electronics, but they e-mailed me and said they didn't have any in stock. But he did have the P.I.E. model (in the link above) in stock and was wondering if I would like that one instead.

According to the guy that sent the e-mail and their website, it will work with my car. (2001 CL)

Has anyone here used the P.I.E. model? Any complaints or comments?

I'm just looking for some feedback before I order it instead of the Blitzsafe...

Thanks, any input is appreciated

OK... I ordered the Blitzsafe for my ride to use with my Doms conversion kit (3G TL) and it was defective. Did not work at all. I have since returned it and ordered the PIE x3. The PIEx3 is an awesome unit. The Blitz was only a single aux in, where the PIE is 3 additional inputs! You get a controller to select through the 3 inputs. It is a very sweet setup and it is plug-n-play, except for one 12v power wire which you can do with an add-a-fuse or tap it into the cig lighter...

The PIE is a big piece, the unit is easily twice the size of the blitz, but it is flat, so mounting is easy. All in all, now that I have held both and tried (sorta) both, the PIE is a far superior product and I would highly reccomend it.

I've got a PIE aux adaptor in my TSX and it has been working fine for a while now. I've got the box itself behind the CD holder in the center console and ran the RCA cables to the inside of the armrest.
It was easy to install on the TSX, but YMMV on the CL.

If you search you'll see a lot of complaints about BlitzSafe, I almost got it, then I read about the complaints so I went with SoundGate
Basically my impression is that BlitzSafe operation is pretty fucked up

Thanks a lot guys (especially jmbnova for the pics)

I will probably go ahead and order the P.I.E. model within the next couple days from Logjam. I found the Blitzsafe model I needed on Autotoys.com but I've heard to stay far away from them, so Logjam it is.

Thanks again guys, I'll give an update soon...

With the PIE unit you can connect up to 3 devices. It has a switch to go between them. I have a TV Tuner, DVD player, and Ipod connected to my PIE.

If anyone is interested I have 3-4 PIE X3's for sale and one of the Blitzsafe units. All are brand new in factory packaging. Picked up a few extras for a local Accord and TSX group and have some left over.

My brother ordered the Blitzsafe and got the PIE HON98-AUX instead, they said it would work. It didn't. I called PIE and they confirmed it doesn't work with the TL's. So all I can say is that it doesn't work on 2002 TL-S's lol. We are trying to rig it up to the Harman Kardon Drive+Play and a Video Ipod but it just isn't working. The fm transmitter works so we know it has to be the adaptor. If anyone has insight on this It would truely be appreciated since we are probably going to return everything and buy a new head unit. Yes we unplugged the radio with the car off waited for the anti theft to activate and plugged it in and put the code in and it still will not go into auxiliary mode. Also can an aftermarket head unit be used in the TL-S's with the stock bose speakers?

Sorry, didnt mean to hijacking the thread.
