Actually, I would have to redo the license plate frame ... That one looks a little crappy up close.

Silverknight,

Tell us more about how this is hooked up? Does it switch automatically to the backup camera when the car is put in reverse? If so, how does that work?

What is the model number of the camera? What's the url of the site you got it on?

Thanks!

I dont know if your Navi conversion has a back-up camera input, but my screen has one. It automatically switches to camera input if the car is put in reverse. The plug-n-play Navi conversion has one also (see sticky for details). All you have to do is connect a specifice wire to the reverse lamp wire. I also made a switch to manually switch to camera input.

I forgot the camera model. I got it from webhead. He knew the website. I'll check and post the info.

The camera is accelevision WPLC296R.

I did a lot of research on the camera and even bought a couple of them to try them out. This is the best one, in my opinion. It is color, mirror image, waterproof, light sensitivity of 0.2 lux at 1.4; it switches to B/W when the light goes below 1 lux. horizontal view of about 105, vertical 73 and diagonal 130. At night the image is great even in the lowest light. and its the size of a lipstick, 21mm by 71 mm. I have the full spec sheet, i just don't know how to upload it to the site.

I've tried the IR ones with the LED for night time viewing. . too bulky and has annoying LED lights when on. . .not very stealth.

The accelevision one is more expensive but you you can get a good price if you shop around. hope that helps.
