Oh yea, in case you're wondering, the Rockford Fosgate is under the MB Quart Amp.

It looks like you did a nice job with the trunk liner. Your choices for where the box and cap buildouts are look good.

As far the the tombstoned amp, why did you put it there exactly? Doesn't the Rockford get hot inside that doghouse? And doesn't the trunk space get taken up by that stack?

Seems like at the woodworking level you are at, you could make a subfloor under the box that had both amps and put a fan or two in it?

Yea that was our original idea. But the rockford and the MB Quart wouldnt fit. The clearance from the bottom of the trunk to the top of the trunk is 16 inches (because of some big metal bar running across the top of the trunk).

Rockford amp 2.7 in. + MDF wood .5 in. + sub enclosure 13 inches. = 16.2 inches.

Trust me, we tried everything. I suppose we could have cut a square out of the step for the amp to fit but there were a lot of problems. We were originally going to put the rockford in the step and leave the MB just sitting flat but it wouldnt fit. We made the "tombstone" last minute. haha. We also thought about making a false floor but I wanted to keep the wheel and all the assesories still there. If you notice, the step my brother and I made gets cut off right at the point where the trunk bottom opens. and the tombstone is angled at the back so we can still open the bottom of the trunk. Hopefully that explained any questions!
THANKS for the reply!!!!

Oh, the amp doesn't get that hot because the tombstone has is open ended on the back wall. It is also angled up which gives it a pretty good opening for ventilation.

not a bad install...i couldn't see myself throwing stuff in the trunk, but it does look nicely laid out. i would suggest putting some grilles on those subs tho, just to maintain my own sanity

Its a nice install. The only thing I dont like is that the amp ruines the use of the trunk. You had to install the amp right in the center?

yea, I dont really like the look of putting the amp along the side (behind the tail lights), so, I just decided to put the amp up front. I also really like the look of the new MB Quart amp. I'll take pics of my trunk space, i don't think the space is that small. But, anyways ill post pics asap so u guys can check out the trunk space and decide for yourself.
