Yep, your stock amp will still power your speakers.

Just buy the speaker harness specific for your car. The wire that turns on your amp is the wire that says "Remote" on it... It's usually blue.

What if you want to replace the head unit, door speakers, and rear deck speakers on a 03- CL without adding an aftermarket amplifier? How do you wire this and any adapters /harnesses needed aside from the Honda/Acura universal harness?

Are you planning on powering the speakers with the HU? or using the factory amp? You can do either/or but I would seriously suggest if you want to replace all your speakers to buy an amp to power them, otherwise what's the point?
Aftermarket HU's signal output are weak so your speakers won't sound great and the factory amp is really only good for the bose speakers.

I agree with the first part of this, but the 2nd, not so much. The 2nd part of this statement is completely speaker dependent. For example, my Eclipse 3 ways will need an aftermarket amp when I put them in (it's in shipping now, don't worry) but my buddy's Pioneer Rev's (yellow cones) don't. His car is doing 150db on 5250w clamped power (or was before he sold the amp, but it's still in the mid to high 40s on a Crossfire 1k) and his Rev's keep up just fine with power from an Alpine 9886.

Yes that's true many speakers will work fine without an amp. I'm just referring to tribe's situation in the CL. Going from stock AMP powered speakers to aftermarket DECK powered speakers might not be as good(if you can say that about bose lol) so why bother, is what my point was. Just speaking from a monetary standpoint is all. If he's gonna spend the money why not also get the appropriate amp too and make it sound better than stock.

I am looking to install a pioneed double din 3200 in my 3.2CL. Do I need a new amp? If i use the same speakers (bose) and the factory amp will I lose any sound quality compared to t he Bose I already have in it right now?

I've already got subs, amp, and a box picked out for my install. I was just wanting some more information on how to go about it. I'm thinking of keeping the stock Bose head unit I've got. (should i go aftermarket?) Would I need any kind of conversion harnesses or kits for wiring the subs and amp up to the Bose? And here's links to all the stuff I'm getting.

Subs:

Amp:

Also I've got a '01 Cl-S

It's not the deck which makes or breaks the sound....it's the speakers! Factory speakers are garbage, no matter what claims the auto maker's literature says about them.
Although that is a nice modern deck, you would get way better sound quality just by leaving in the stock head unit and installing new mid-quality speakers with a decently priced multi-channel amp.

stock bose system-1997 acura cl

I have a 1997 Acura Cl. It has a stock bose system in it. I tryed putting in a after market deck. I had power to the deck but no sound. What harness or should I say smart harness can I get that will by pass the stock amp so the deck can power my stock speakers and I can actually get sound and fully use the after market deck?
