Need help setting up system in '06 tsx

OK. Here's what I want to do:

I want to get a new alpine stereo,
fokal 165kps component speakers
a sub with an amp

I also have sirius and bluetooth in my acura right now connected to the original HU, so I really would like to keep the original stereo operational as well. is there a way to connect the sirius from the old HU to the new one? I know where the new HU would sit, so I'm not worried about that. My main question is, what type of setup do I need to keep the new HU and the old HU connected. would i have to use the AUX on the old HU to allow the new one to work? or could I just have them both working separately? I'm confused about that part, but I really wanna get things started. If anyone could help, thanks.

Dont waste your money on a new aftermarket headunit!! The factory one is made from Alpine and has a very flat response with 4V outputs. There is a guy on here selling a Mercman harness. Buy it if its still available. It will connect to your factory harness so that you can use the factory radio and have all the functionality. Then you can hook up a balanced amp, speakers and subs.

but with the new speakers, sub and amp, will it still sound as good w/o a new aftermarket stereo?

umm just to let you know tmcao55. when i put my alpine 9886 in it sounded much better.also only if he has navi is it made by alpine.

pianoman. its up to u. but if i spent so much money on getting focals. i wouldnt want the diffrence to be from a h.u that i didnt want to put in. you could always do both try it with the fact unit, and then hook up the aftermarket in the trunk to test . an see which you like better.
