Just got an Aftermarket Alarm

Hey guys just wanted to let you know I installed the clifford alarm with the 2 way remote today. And its awesome. Remote starts and i even had the guy install it with air horns so its loud as fuck.
Now if anyone messes with my car i can aim my paintball gun at em and shoot em lol.
No seriously i looked into an aftermarket alarm because there are too many haters around here willing to scratch your car up or sit on it. Or even worse people that just go around and steal your HIDs then turn around and sell them for 150 to a 1992 civic owner.
Anyone messes with the trunk or anything and my alarm goes off as well.
Im added a proximity sensor next week for an additional 100.
That way it warns all these gawkers that get real close to my car, lean on it to get a better look.
Well if yall have any questions about the install or what not lemme know!

my neighbors have gone crazy over the Clifford RS series alarms. There are 4 car in our neighborhood with them. Anyways, you should look into getting some "pizo's" for you car. I'm not sure if that is how you spell it, but they are piercing loud and go in the inside of the car.

Personally, I'm completely unwilling to mess with the factory alarm. It never false alarms, which is a lot more than I can say for most autosecurity systems.

Regarding the aftermarket security system, I have a few questions and they all have to do with the remote operation of the transmitter. Is it able to do the functions of the stock transmitter as listed below?

1. Can you open the passenger doors?
2. Can you open the windows?
3. Can you pop the trunk?

Thanks.

yes usually you should be able to enable those features.. into the aftermarket alarm remote.. plus you can roll up or down the windows if i remember correctly.. plus it usually comes with engine start with ur remote if you get the right alarm.. the 2way remotes are a good idea soo if something happens it will alert you like a pager..

I have a crimestopper 2006fm 2way (never installed)... if anyone wants to buy it let me know.. i never installed it becausethe car already has the feature i wanted .. opening the trunk and unlocking the doors with remote..

MSRP= $399.99..
cheapest i seen it for is $200
paid $250

willing to sell it for $175...

I like the factory alarm but its just not loud enough and does not prevent someone from doing damage to your car or like i stated earlier stealing your HIDs. Correct me if im wrong but the factory does not have a shock sensor and i knowwwwwwwww it doesnt have a proximity sensor.
And to answer the other guys question regarding the features it does the windows but the relay i would have had to purchase only do 2 windows.
So i keep the factory alarm thingy with me for a few more weeks till it starts getting cold and i remote start my car to warm up

factory alarms from acura have shock sensors... there is a mic that will pick up the noise of a break in for example.

proximity sensors/alarm are only going to encourage somebody from scratching your car. watch.
