Installing speakers w/o cutting wires

Does anyone know where I can find speaker harness's for the TSX so that I don't have to cut into the factory wiring? I know that crutchfield has them, but I don't think you can buy them seperately and I know I don't want to pay the overprices at crutchfield for speakers just to get the "free" speaker harnesses.

ANY HELP ANYONE?
Thanks.

Not sure why you are not wanting to cut the wires, but crutchfield is the only ones I've seen that sell them. What you should do is try to find out who supplies them to crutchfield and go direct.

Most aftermarket speakers come with wires that match their speaker lugs. If you don't want to lop the original harness' off you can use a pair of strippers to cut the insulation near the connector, pull the insulation back to expose some wire, wrap the end of a foot or so of the new wire around that and tape it off. I solder mine for a better connection but tying it on will work. If you need to return it to stock you can either snip the new wire off or just unwrap it. The insulation will stretch back together and you're done. Be sure to tape the connector down so it doesn't rattle.

Thanks for the replies.

The reason I don't want to cut wires is because I'm leasing and I want to be able to put back the original speakers in without any sign of modification when I return the car (if that the route I choose to take at lease end). I checked on crutchfield and when I choose the TSX, it says the item is not available for this car. I'm guessing it is too new or they are not sure if it fits. Nonetheless, even if they fit, they're 12.99 for a set of 2, or 25.98 for all four. What a RIPOFF! !!!

I think the ones for the 4 door accord will fit.
Call your local Best buy and see wasup.
when they did my car alarm the wiring is exactly like the 4 door accord sedan 2003 so i would assume the harness would be the same for the speakers. Just that you would have to get 4 for the doors and the 2 rears.

Circut city sells them for 9.99 a pair. They are the same connector that goes into the 03 accord.

$12.99/pr from crutchfield was too much, but $9.99 from BestBuy was OK? You really were looking for the best price; was two days of searching worth the $6 savings?

I just found a supplier of Honda factory speaker connectors. Try this site out and see if you can find them. I have them listed in my catalog from the same company.
