installing full system

hey guys, i need to know how to install a full system for the tsx.

i have component infinity references which are going to be powered by an amp,

rear speakers (which i want powered)

6x9's

kappa perfect 12" sub

and two amps.

how do i wire all this up into the stock headunit?

i have searched in the diy section but there seems to be numerous threads each telling to splice into something different.. can you guys post up the right thing to install each part.. please?

thanks im trying to do this tomorrow on my day off.

Just follow my post on the correct way to bypass the TSX amp and you can’t go wrong.
If you are buying new amps make sure that they have full differential inputs. This will allow for a direct interface with the TSX HU. Normal line level coaxial inputs will require a BALUM (I’m working on something). You absolutely must use balanced audio cable for the connection. See my post

new problem!..

this is with speakers and i didnt feel like starting a new thread..

i tried installing some infinity reference speakers for the rear (didnt even attempt the front) into my 06 tsx, now when i had them in the door panels would not fit on properly with the 1" spacer, we also tried a 1/2 spacer and that did not work out because the speaker wasn't pushed out enough.

what speakers do you recommend for the front and rears, i want to have no problems, and what spacers do i need? i am not allowed to cut into the car in any way shape of form.

thanks - Dan

I am using Infinity Kappas, with I believe, 1/2" inch spacers. I had an ever so slight clearance problem with just 1 door. I used a mallet to pound it in, and the spacer snapped in securely after that. Just try managing the metal a little bit and you should be able to get it to work.
