i think i blew a sub =[

how would i verify that i have blown a sub?

i had 2 MTX 10s, then all of a sudden my trunk stopped working.

i checked my amp and it said 'over current'

we plugged in a more powerful amp and it still didn't work.

it worked when we plugged it into the "working" speaker.

it didnt work when we plugged it into the "dead" speaker.

help plz

(i checked the wires, and even rewired it)

it has to be a wiring problem...are you sure all your grounds are good? are there any wires exposed that could touch metal? Are your speakers wires wired correctly. Over current makes me want to believe that there is a bad ground somewhere that is droping the ohm load on the amp way too low for it and the internal protection is triping.

it could be a bad speaker.. if you the speaker went bad and the voice coil is shorted then you could possibly get this same senario... you said everything works fine when you hook it up to the good speaker.. verify all wiring like OU sig said and if it all looks good then test the impendence of the speaker should be some where around 4-6ohms... if it is less +/- 2ohms of that then i would say the speaker is bad...
