Hey is anyone here running and hifonics amp in the cars? I was considering getting a Hifonics BXi1608D and putting it together with a 12' kicker L7 in a kicker box. Is it worth running a 2nd 4 channel amp for my speakers if i plan on getting components?

 

I'm running the bxi 1608D.And I've run it on 1 18 ,2 18's,2 15's,2 12's,4 12's, 4 12's & 1 18. It sounded good on all.I just got a 2nd 1608D And I want to run a 8408 110w rms X 4 to 2 sets of componets in the front doors.

 

Looks like the 1608d is for me. Would you run a highs amp on a set of components.

 

they are good for the price. I had a old titan back in the day served it purpose. But for a lil bit more there are by far better amps.

 

get a sundown 1000d

 

If you need it to play to lower impedances, yes. If not, look at the sundown SAE-1200D. The SAZ-1000D is a great amp, but would really shine at lower than 1 ohm, as do all sundown SAZ series amps. If you're not going to go below 1 ohm, get an SAE-1200D for about the same money. It will likely put out more power than the BXi-1610D, fyi.

 

I have a hifonics brutus that I hardly even push and get great sound from

 

saz's are killer for under 1ohm. i looked at a sae before i got my amp and yea they will throw out way more power and cleaner power than a hifonics

 

Have you decided on a amp yet? Any install pics?

 

I am satisfied with my bxi2008D I have been able to run two 12 inch alpine type X.. 1 ohm stable
