Hey Ron help me out
I want to know if you know how to wire the 2 step unlock for the 2000 TL. Also where is the freakin sweet spot for the transponder bypass? Please help me out.
Is there a wire I can use for directly to utilize this or must I use one unlock wire on the drivers electronic lock and the regular unlock wire on the main disarm/unlock wire on passenger side for all locks?
If so can I catch the wire for drivers door after it leaves the grommet towards fuse panel or do I have to go in the door with a wire.

What kind of alarm are you using? Most of them have the 2nd pulse output that you can turn on or off to get the rest of the locks to pop.
As for the transponder, I never had a problem with it....just slips nicely around the key cylinder.

what transponder are you talking about ....is that for the remote start thing with the key in the chip ....my install guy said he needs a key and will physically cut the chip out and place it near the key whole.....anyone know how this works? thanks
I have a bypass module that picks up the key signal in its own circuit box then sends the signal to the transponder receiver only when remote starting. If he cuts the transponder out and actually puts it near the ignition without that module anyone can start it. I do believe you have to power the transponder for it to emit the signal. Not sure Im hoping Streeteffectz can shed some light. My prob is I cant find the right spot for the 2 turns of the transmitting wire around the ignition. Either that or it isnt picking up the signal in the box from the key. Should I cut the transponder out and then lay it in the box?
Ok did you take off the ignition transponder and slide the wire around the actual metal key cylinder further away from where your key head would be?
Or
Did you leave the black plastic 2 peice transponder receiver on and wrap the wire around that plastic ring like where your key lights up?
I have an unlock wire and a 2 step unlock wire. I was told take the lock wire to the drivers door circuit and the 2 step wire to the regular disarm and unlock all doors. Also to use a relay on the drivers lock motor or Ill burn something. Whats the easiest way to do this. Can I get the wires I need after the door grommet before fuse panel or must I go to the door lock motor or key switch?

why go that route for the transponder. just get the PKH2
from Transponderbypass.com No key required, and nothing to wrap around the ignition switch. It learns the code of your key, and then sends the correct pulse only when remote starting.

BY the way, periferal makes a great unit but it doesnt work for all years of our car. DEI makes a second generation unit that works like a charm ofr bypassing the key transponder.
