help, system installation on type S
today i tried to install my old system to my TL-S and got stuck in 2 places....
first, installing my subs, i cant get to the the cigarette lighter wire to hook up the RC adapter. i unscrewed the 2 screw in the armrest compartment and i tried to unscrew the 2 screws on each side of the armrest near the seat belt buckle... they are stuck on tight and cant take them off. i was wondering is there anything else i needed to do to take out the console or if i take out those 4 screws will i be able to get to the cig lighter wires, and can you just rip apart the two trims on the console? ... or does anybody know any other 12V wire i can hook it up to.
the second problem i had was with the door panel to install my speakers, i took apart everything except for the door handle part... i looked at the pictures this site shows us but it doesnt seem to work, how do you take the door handle out on 2002 TL-S? do you have to yank it out real hard?

the way to disassemble the center console
- remove 2 screws inside the armrest
- remove both wood side trim by pulling upwards with the armrest in the up/open position
- remove 2 gold screws that have washers
~> now the rear half of the console can be side backwards away from the front half and you should see the connector for the hidden power socket
- remove some more screws, pop off the shifter trim ring, remove some more screws and side panels and driver lower dash panel, push up the seat heater controls and disconnect, and now you can get to the open power socket.
if the handle is like the accords, you might have to slide it forward and then out after you remove the screw.
