This is the pioneer deh9600mp. I paid $480 for it. A liitle expensive but worth it in my opinion. Check out the features--pioneer dehp9600mp

If you want to see it in the car, check out the link in my signature.

Check my sig....I love the player, has every feature I wanted with great sound quality. It also looks very good with the rest of the interior. You may not be able to find that model anymore because it is older but any higher end Alpine will make you very happy.

I wouldnt recommend going cheep in this point for your system.

I definitely agree!!!! Don't skimp out on a good head unit because it is your command center for the rest of the system.

Great thread. I'm considering a replacement for the stock HU in my non-Navi 99 TL.

Got one question though. Does anyone know whether a double DIN navigation unit like the Kenwood P-NAV7015 will fit in the TL's dash? Eeyone who's posted here has installed a single DIN aftermarket HU. TIA

you can fit it, but you will have to get a custom dash kit made. The one we are all using is the Metra kit and it is only in single DIN.

I like Eclipse decks. I'll probably go with the 3434 since I'll have to change the speakers and wiring etc... If I didn't have to change everything I might have gone with the DVD players which are supposedly really good with Eclipse.

The one I posted is a Double Din and there is not kit. I have to have it custom made, but well worth it IMO.

six-disc cd changer, four full-range single-ended 2V-capable preamp outputs, flat from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, looks factory, integrated nav. Runs my Jl Audio 300/4 and my speaker system cleanly with no noise and great sound quality.

I have the same HU....It is a good compromise between lots of future application, and not having enought to play with in the future. Good bass engine, 3 sets of 4v outputs, looks good. A good package for just over $200...
