Headunit Help

Well I have 99 TL and the cd player is starting not to play real cds now, it plays them but only after like 5 minutes of trying to load up, and when the cd player gets warm, no cds play until it cools down. So I'm going to take it to acura and see if they will replace it, But problem is that my warrenty is out, I have an aftermarket warrenty but not sure it that will cover it.

If niether one of those options works then I'm going to get a new HU. But not sure which one to get, I only have a couple of requirements. That it plays CDr's and Mp3's, I found some like a clarion and panasonic and Blaupunkt, but are any of these good or does it not matter, just get one that looks good. Can somebody help me out, and tell me where to look and give me some info. Also I dont want to spend too much on a HU, and How much does it cost to get a new cut out for it?? to hold it in place.

Thanks
Matt

hmm.. well what sucks is if you replace your head unit your going to have to replace all your speakers.. unless you can find a dead head (that is a head unit without an amp) because the amp for the bose system is behind each speaker not in the head unit.. I'll look for what head units have the features you want.. yeah clarion would probably be a good bet but I'm gonna look

How hard is it to connect a aftermarket headunit up so that all stock speakers will work, including the bose sub. How much additional money am I looking at besides the HU. Also can you guys recommend any HU's that also look good too.

Thanks
Matt
