I suggest buying Focal from an authorized dealer. Mine have blown twice and they gave me a new set both times with no questions asked. 
It's worth the extra $100.00 or how ever much for a real warranty.

He's a authorized dealer for everything you mentioned, and you can do a simple search of this forum to determine if he's trustworthy.
Not too many car audio shops out there willingly teach people how to do it themselves....
As far as I'm concerned this is an honorable thing to do, and deserves to be rewarded.
It tells me he's not just in it for the money, but that he also wants to be a good citizen....
