Finally getting my aux-in today!

im tired and ashamed of using my stupid cassette adapter to play music through my mp3 player and xm radio...
gettin an aux-in tonight and installing that piece!


any pointers?

ok guys... need some help...
the stereo shop sold me a hon-98 that says it works with all honda radios 98-03
diddnt work in mine

14 pin connector or whatever fits but when i press the CD button, NADA......

did i get the wrong part?

i think i have the HON98-AUX made by PIE i wanna say, i'll have to check


so i called my buddy and he said i should disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and then the radio would recognize my part....can anyone confirm?

I can confirm that shouldn't be the case. The computer should see it the first time you start the car. Keep in mind when you deal with stuff like this the car has to off, no key in the ignition as well. But even if the computer was active when you installed it, the next time you started the car it would see it.

hmm....my key was in the ignition because in order to remove the center console, i had to put it into d1 on the shift gate so that i could remove the bezel.....
hm...maybe i should remove it, place the car back in park, then take the key out....

It can make a difference, yes. But just leave your car alone for a minute with the keys out and if the kit is good, it should come alive right away.

g*ddammit.. still nothing....
does anyone else use this piece?
HON98-AUX made by PIE?

took off the battery cable even turned the radio on, entered the code, put my cd on. then hit "cd" again to access aux, and NADA!
