to everyone with amps

where the hell are you running your power cable through to get past the firewall to get to the battery?

Ive dug around through every opening and none of them get to the engine bay.

Ive searched and someone said through the windshield wiper gromet? i could find that either.

thanks!! a picture would be nice.

I dont have a CL but sometimes you just have to drill a hole through the fire wall. Put a little rubber gromet around it ond your good to go. Just a suggestion if you cant find a hole. I have run some wire some crazy ways just cause I was scared to drill a little hole. now I wont hesitate to do it. Just make sure you know where you drilling.

eh before you drill a hole some ppl run it under the car with protective hosing or duct around it. and there should be a drain plug under the spare tire you can run it up through.o personally wouldn't cut a hole in the fire wall. but hey its ur car

This is what I did. It's kind of a pain, and my run of wire is longer for a 2 door coupe than some people's for their 4 door sedan, but still. It looks good, and no holes in the firewall... Although afterwards, i found out I have a spare hole in the firewall to run the wire through... Meh, whatever...

pics would be great!

i think im gonna drill and put a gromet. just need to be carefull where.

on a side note: im using a 4 gage power cable but it used to be in a BMW so the battery was in the back; therefore the guy cut it. i solder the two pieces together and heat shrinked wrapped it.... is this gonna render and watts or cause any bad problems later haha. ive solder wires plenty before, just not anything this big in gage.

Its not really a grommet it is more like a hole plug. Screwdriver right thru it, knock the insulation out of the way, stick the wire thru, it will feed itself right to the floor of the drivers seat.

You really have to look!

there's a hole already there. thats where mine is. i suggest you put the seat all the way back crawl under your steering column with a flashlight and poke around there. if you still cant find it, ill post a pic for you today. i think its near the hinge of the brake pedal or something

that hole that you " hit a wall" is the correct one. your actually hitting a plug that is in your engine bay. just take a good look in there, right beside the black steering assembly looking thing. sorry dont know whet exactly that is. anyway, look for that, you cant miss it and a few inches to the left of that youll see 2 plastic plugs in the firewall. take a screwdrver or whatever fits, and push through the one to the right. after that you should see a foam insert and that plug layinf in your driver side floor panel. if you cant find it just look straight back from the throttle body and a little to the right
