anyone have any recommendations on free software that will convert a dvd to video iPod?

well at least to the format so that i can add it to iTunes and then convert to the iPod?

^^ sorry forgot to mention that i tried using handbrake for windows but it's not working for me...getting a stack dump and it errors out...

 

ah you should have mentioned what OS you had.

i don't know why but i always assume ipod = mac user
