Double Din nav in place of 2 cubby holes on 1st gen tsx

Anyone ever try to put in a double din where the 2 cubbies are on the 1st gen tsx? i have an avic d3, and dont like the way the single din install looks. Just wondering if anyone has done this? Thanks

double din might be pushing it depending on the depth, single DIN on top is definitely doable. You'll have to factor in all the wiring that needs to go behind and around the double DIN. Also, behind the "not an ashtray" is the amp..albeit a small one, that might get in the way.

i might have to do some disassembling of the cubbies to see how much room there is. i can make a custom faceplate myself. i was just wondering if it has been done already.
