BENZ: radio makes sound, CDs don't?

MODs if i put this in the wrong place, i apologize. no, i don't drive a NSX hahah.

soo i picked up a JVC KD-AVX77 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KDAV...tab=review#tab

theres one problem.. if i turn on the radio, the radio works fine. however, when i switch to bluetooth or a CD, no sounds come from the speakers. i've tried putting in CDs and CDs will play thru (dvds also play thru) but theres just no sound. i was thinking it might be the CD player but when i tried playing music from my bluetooth phone to the headunit, sound still doesn't work. i'm not sure if i just wired it wrong somehow... or if theres something wrong with my HU. i tried searching around other forums and apparently this HU is too new to have a lot of problems but maybe you acura fellows could help me out.

Do you have an amp hooked up? If so you could have the power antenna lead connected to the amp instead of the amp turnon lead. They are both blue wires. This would only turn the amp on when the radio was playing.

Yeah if it works during radio but not CD, you have the power antenna (solid blue) and amp turn-on (blue with white) reversed. You most likely have a factory amp that needs to be powered on. Simply unhook the solid blue from the deck and take the blue and white from the deck and connect it to where the solid blue was.

WORKS! another problem... the headunit seems to not be getting a consistent source of power and keeps loosing radio stations. yellow and red wires swapped? *note its not exactly color coordinated since no one makes a harness for the BOSE system in my c280 which is why i'm using a VW harness. go euros -___-"
