Directed 1500D

So I just picked up a great deal on a Directed 1500d amp. I have a friend that has a directed amp and it has been through hell and still works good.

Im just curious has anyone on azine or in general ran this amp any pros and cons on it? I was thinking about running it to my 2 10's but there only 500 Watts RMS so im thinking on upgrading my subs

any input would help

Thanks

Well wanted to see if anyone has used it before but I posted on one of the car audio forums im on and one guy is already trying to buy it off me LOL good thing to know that they are solid..

Well I mean I have my Alpine's but there only 500 Watts RMS for the both of them so I probably am going to upgrade..

I always wanted SSA subs but I always heard they are a pretty penny

According to the manual, it does

425@ 4
800@ 2
1100@ 1

Perfect for 2 dcon single 4's

Roughly the same quantity as the newer Orion stuff, IIRC. So not terrible, but there's better out there. Although for $41, you probably won't find a better amp.

$41 for ~900-1000W of decently clean 1ohm power, that's a wicked bargain.

I'd go on Ampguts and show you internal pics, but my Barracuda web filter at work thinks it is PORN. Amp Porn, maybe.

Nothing on Ampguts about the 1500D. There's an 1100D, but it's an old school amp.
