Ok. So I have been reading alot about this. I wanna put an indash cd/dvd head unit in. But I wanna run the factory system(except for the sub..I gotta newly released ID MAX 10 inch and a Arc Audio CXL2500 amp{1050X1@4ohms}) I am looking at the schematic right now and I am not sure of something. Why all the confusion when it appears that PINS a8/a18 a6/a16 a5/a15 a7/a17 out of the Head unit run straight to the speakers. How come I cant run the Head unit outputs off the DVD unit right to these wires and power the factory speakers without using the eq? I know about all the hoopla regarding the panel that you need to make for the headunit and stuff. Easily solved with a piece of abs plastic and and some grey burl laminate. So regarding the wiring..am I missing something here? Please let me know. I wanna grab a PIONEER avh-p6500dvd but only If I can be sure its gonna work.
you are right on target... but eventually i would suggest upgrade the stock speakers... you can use the 98 and up accord wiring harness to connect the aftermarket headunit to the stock wiring and retain use of the stock speakers... oh this will essentially bypass the stock eq as well.... my first system in the tl i used the stock door speakers but now i am upgrading everything....
