I have read many posts and cannot find a good answer. i am installing a headunit and 4 channel amp to push the factory (bose) speakers in my 2002 TL.

Where do i connect the speaker wires FROM the amp? And what is the best way to do this?

Should i cut the wires or just remove the one wire harness from the amp and crimp onto the speaker wires? I would like to make it so i can put the system in its original state if i need to sell the car.

You will blow the the Bose speakers using an amp (or it will sound really crapy). Just do yourself a favor and buy new speakers & run new wires for them leaving all the old wires intact.

 

what if i just turned the amp off in my head unit and connected the speaker wires from head unit to my wiring harness?

You can try it both ways, but those speakers are just a bottleneck IMHO.

 

Definately a bottleneck, get new speakers if you're gettin a new amp.
