How should one go about installing component speakers for the front? Replacing the 6-1/2" in the doors, and the mini-tweeters on the dash. Also, what is a recommended replacement? I found a nice set on crutchfield - Infinity Reference 6000cs - is this a good replacement?
When I pulled out the dash tweeter, it had really short wiring on it, preventing me from getting a good look at the wiring harness. I have noticed that there is no sound coming from any of the component tweeters - in the dash, and on the ceiling - does anyone know how these are wired?

Yeah what car we talking about?. There are no factory tweets in 2nd generation TL. Its easy enough to add, but there are no wires up in the dash. Most people put the tweeters either in the door sail panel on a pod, or mount them on a bracket right in front of the woofer in the door, esentially making a coax design for time alignment.
tweeters up in the dome lights?
Obviously you are not the original owner and before you bought that car someone had a system in there and raped it all out before the car was sold. You'd have to figure out if there used to be amps in there, and if so where they were mounted (under a front seat or in the trunk). depending what you are trying to do to your audio system now that you own the car, you'd probably be better off starting from scratch and run your own wiring.
