Clarion

I know the brand but not too much detail wise about clarion speakers, are they any good?

In particular these:

http://www.clarion.com/usa/product/i...roduct=SRR6935

and these:
http://www.clarion.com/usa/product/i...roduct=SRR1635

These are also an option:

I dont know if they will fit but any info would be great.

Thanks

Speaking as a former Clarion dealer and field sales rep:

1) The 3-ways are probably not very good. 3-way coaxials usually are bright and tinny - small piezo tweeters are the giveaway.

3) The two-way by-nines are probably pretty good for by-nines. That series of speakers usually sounds pretty good. If you like bright forward highs, you won't like their silk dome tweeter - but I really like it.

3) If you are putting these in a TSX, and you like the way the 6985 by-nines sound, then you should consider these:

Those should sound pretty good, depending on amp and setup - IF the 6" woofs fit in the door (custom spacers probably needed to fit AND to sound good...)

: )

The Pro Audios, not the 3-way Phaze1s.

BTW, I'm talking about sound quality here, not power handling. If you use a big amp you probably need to high-pass the 6"s at 50.
