wow. wow. wow.

Check the DIY thread under 2nd gen CL and "adding an amp"..

Might want to do some more searching while you are there.. Considering there isn't a sub in the CL only in the TL.

btw, no really good holes/grommets in the firewall to run an amp wire through, sometimes easier just to drill a hole

generally speaking where most shops/individuals like to drill is just right of the dead pedal, there is a hole indented in the firewall where the clutch pedal/master cylinder goes if it was a manual, it is open on both sides, and a direct shot down the framerail from the battery (since it is normally said that, the shortest run of the power cable is the best)

I have an 03 CLS6, I don't know if it's the same as the '01, but there is a pre-drilled hole in the firewall. It's a little hard to explain, if you stick your head down where the pedals are and look up, about a couple inches up from the gas-pedal's mount, there is a hole that's covered with insulation (the insulation cap is about an inch diameter). Remove the insulation, and stick a screwdriver through it to see it from the engine bay.

Are you serious? It's the sticky thread at the top of the A/V forum. The very first one that says "---------------->> **Audio/Video - DIY, Info and FAQ - All Models ** <<------------"

This works perfectly. The hole is way above gas pedal. When you remove the black circle and poke through insulation you can keep poking until you push through to the other side. The hole looks big enough for zero ga wire but not sure. Im about to run zero ga next week to replace my 4ga so well see.

I have a tl but im guessing under your carpet in the driver seat, there is a black plug that comes out and theres a whole. I put it in through there and ran it under the bottom for a bit than just make it as close as possible to the firewall. Have had it there for long time and no problem!!
