Actually, I heard good things about those amps. New company with good products.

 

its an avionics amp nothing special. there are tons of amps online that are smaller , and have more watts for same or less money.

 

El - with all of your experience in 12 volt why are you so excited by this amp?

 

Because when I first clicked on it I saw a price of $145. Now I see a price a hundred dollars higher than that, and I'm not excited any longer.

 

I'm perplexed. Who is Elemental Designs? I'm trying to figure out how much $290CAD is in US Dollars. Is CAD a currency code? When you click the buy button, it shows the price as $235, which I assume is USD. The company appears to be in the US, but the website was written by a non-native English speaker; so it's hard to tell. ("Better congruency through simple thought.") So, even at $145 USD, what makes this amp special?

 

They do only web biz... have made some good woofs according to many. I tried to get them to let me rewrite their website two iterations ago... used to be worse. They never replied...: )

If a good clean 4-channel amp was available for $145, that would leave more money for better speaks: )

Yes, they are... and it should allow significant savings but their prices seem to have been creeping up...

 

I actually am using ED in my tl right now and for the money I paid i would put it against any sub the costs 2-3x's as much. There stuff tends to be pretty good speaker wise. As for the amps. they are tremendously underrated. The nine.1 is rated 1200x1 and has been benched as high and 1400 easy. I am actually debating going to 4 9k.v2's for my next overhaul
