Question cd changer

can u put a stock cd changer in a 99 tl w/out a problem. can i control it through the radio and steering wheel controls i have an aftermarket one that works through the radio on 88.7 and none of my stations work.

Don't fool with a stock. From my reading on here, there is no definitive answer to the stock question.

My suggestion is to get an Alpine changer. I got one and put it under my passenger seat where I can reach around the back to get the CD's in and out.

The only thing you need in addition to the changer is a connector that connects the changer to the headunit/radio. You can get one from Blitsafe.

You will still be able to use your steering wheel controls, and this doesn't need a radio channel. I just put in a changer a little over a month ago and summarized my experience in this thread.

I got the Alpine CHM-S630. It does NOT play MP3's, but I do not need that feature. If you would like it to play MP3's, then I suggest the CHM-S634. Below is the Alpine site with several choices.
